It’s the price. Own brands are always that little bit cheaper.

I generally find that department stores now carry similar designs, in a wide range of colours, more sizing options, decent cut, flattering and have lower prices.

Usually because it’s a little cheaper. I’ll only get it if I think it’s just as good as a national brand. If I’m not sure if I’ll be dissapointed, I’ll make sure it’s returnable.

It would have to be in fashion, reasonably priced, good material quality, and supplied in my size. I’m only an 8 but often find department stores are often dominanted by 12 supplies of size 16′s and only one supply of size 8.
