I’m sending you a link I know will help.

As far as an outline…..I took suggestions from the 3rd paragraph from the bottom….after clicking on the above link.

” developing an effective product name including: competitive analysis, product positioning, name development, trademark, creative testing, and name and tag line. A well chosen product name is the advertisement itself. Think for example of Coke, Kleenex, Xerox, Nike, and other brand names which by mentioning the name becomes an advertisement. ‘

    Try this kink -

    Here’s another -
Your Outline sub-titles could be, “Competitive Analysis” , ” Name Developement ” , ” Trademark ” , ” Creative Testing “, etc. taken from the above paragraph .

You can do a great case study by looking at companies which have a porfolio of product brands – Coca-Cola Company, Proctor and Gamble, Unilever etc. These companies use multiple products to specifically target different customer demographics.

If you want a good starter to branding, a book called “The Brand Gap” is really good. A search of “branding blogs” should bring up a lot of stuff, Jack Yan’s blog is really good as he looks at specific marketing for product brands and why they have or have not been successful.

Also, if you like, check out my site at for a few good articles on the topic.

    Hope this helps!
