This means that:
- your site actually generates significant traffic
- your site has the type and quality of content that the advertisers think would attract the audience they want
Since your site is brand new, I suggest you go around it two ways:
- Check out these sites you want and apply for their affiliate program where you earn a commission everytime you sell something of their products. It is not the same as sponsorship, but perfect if you are still building your site
- Use advertising networks such as banner ad networks and contextual advertising networks which will show you ads targeted to your audiences and get paid for it
Banner Ad networks:
Burst Media
Fastclick (ValueClick).
Advertising.com.
Tribal Fusion
Contextual Advertising networks:
Google Adsense
Yahoo! Publishing Network (currently in beta and available to US publishers only)
Intellixt
Quigo Adsonar
IndustryBrains
Commission Junction Evolution
Kanoodle Brightads
Clicksor
Contextweb
Bidclix
Bidvertiser
