When a company is trying to build brand awareness with it’s own store brand with their consumers, is it smart for the company to constantly change their brand packaging every 1-2 years? For example, Heinz ketchup. Do consumers reconize the brand & the product because they have kept their packaging consistent over the years or because of advertisments for the ketchup brand. Is it easier for consumers to reconize & trust a store brand product if they leave the consumer with a consistent look & feel?

Many house brands/no name brands of food are made by the large “Name” brand companies, and you can often save 50% or more and get exactly the same product.
You can often get good quality jeans/sunglasses/watches of an unknown brand at a fraction of the cost of Designer brands. Is it snob appeal that buyers are willing to pay more for, or do they they think they are getting a better quality product?
How many read that last sentence without catching the double “they”?

I just wonder what is in the brand new clothes that clothing companies put on to make their products smell “newly manufactured” or “fresh from the factory”…..

I was at Marshalls the other day, and there were these bags that had this big green tag that said “Whatever it takes” (maybe not exactly that, but something along those lines) and people like Gwen Steffani had designed a piece of clothing with their signature on it, and the profits were for charity. Does anyone know what was actually on the tag, and what the brand/company was called? It wasn’t Harajuku lovers…. other people had designed stuff too. Also, what are some good brands that make big canvas tote bags for school books?
